Every Christmas it seems like there are more and fancier accessories available to help you get into the holiday spirit. Christmas trees change colors, come with lighting already attached, and are available in Chia versions. You can decorate your yard blow-up Santas, snowmen, or a 6′ Santa riding a motorcycle. Lighted decorations abound from Nativity scenes to Winnie the Pooh characters to baby polar bears. Christmas just isn’t the same as it used to be any more. For example, remember when Christmas trees just stood in their corners looking pretty? Numerous different kinds of rotating Christmas tree stands are now being marketed, including some that play Christmas music.
Remember when you left the back of your tree scantily decorated so that you could concentrate on the side that showed? All your best ornaments were reserved for the front of the tree which meant that you didn’t need to have nearly as many of them as you do now that your tree is going to turn a full 360 degrees exposing every side. Of course, if you’ve always had more lovely ornaments than you had tree space, this can be a real plus.
Many rotating Christmas tree stands are made only for use with artificial trees, because they aren’t constructed to be heavy-duty enough to carry the load of a large real tree. If you want to purchase a rotating stand for a live tree, make sure to read the fine print so that you won’t end up with the wrong thing. With a real tree, you’ll want to make sure you buy one that is perfectly straight and looks good from every angle. You can always adjust an artificial tree to make it look the way you want it to, but with a real tree there isn’t much you can do about the way it looks after you’ve taken it home.
It will certainly add a special air of excitement to your room when you start your rotating Christmas tree stand. Some models even come with remotes so that you don’t have to mess with cords and switches. Plug your lights into the stand and your stand into a wall socket, and you’ll be ready to turn on your display any time in order to put some extra sparkle into your holidays.

Only problem with a round and round tree would be the inability to light it as the cord would become wrapped up.. :D I remember a "rotating light disk" we used to put in near the tree in the 70s.. Oddly enough, I found it recently while going through the shed on my mothers property. Now that was an accessory!
