Send a House Plant – through Sacramento Florist

There are times when we just have to send a gift to a loved one. Retail florists get calls often times from customers who for some reason meant to send something to a loved one but forgot to pick one up, so, the customer asks if we deliver the same day. In the summertime when the temperature goes to triple digits, we suggest a nice house plant to send.

One of the plants we suggest is a Pothos plant, or the Epipremnum. This is an easy to grow evergreen whose stems put forth leathery heart shaped leaves, 2 to 3 inches long of bright green leaves or bright green splashed with yellow. You can train it to climb a pole or let the stems dangle.

Growing Requirements

Pothos requires only a standard indoor potting soil, bright, filtered light and typical home temperature. Allow potting soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Fertilize regularly; follow instructions on the fertilizer label. Keep leaves clean by regularly wiping with damp cloth. Pinch off growing tips to prevent leggy growth.
