There is so much going on in the world that it is hard to comment on one specific item. We have that idiot from “SEINFIELD” [I am not sure the name is correct] that was supposed to be an entertainer, ranting and raving on stage. BAH–BAD TASTE.
Then the newscasters couldn’t wait to tell us about Britney Spears showing her hoo-hah [as Jeff Foxworthy would say] getting out of the limo with, the other ego maniac, Paris Hilton. Seems like somebody’s mama should have spent a little more time on showing these girls how to close their legs.
Oh, I am sure some of the readers are saying , “this is just some old fossil that is a prude.”
In self-defense, I will say…
I am crazy about comedy. Any type of joke or slapstick or story that brings a smile to anyones face is my cup of tea. HOWEVER, I do draw the line on racist humor, is it really called for?
And women!! Any and all are my favorites, but gee kids, lets leave something to the imagination.
Strange as it seems, I have seen or heard, on stage, TV, or radio or recording entertainers knocking their own race or ethnic group.
That’s the comedy comment.
And the female entertainers may as well be strippers with the kind of no costume they wear on stage.
Flip again.
O.k., I know the BLUE COLLAR BOYS, Larry The Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall do get somewhat carried away with their jokes, BUT, I really haven’t seen or heard out and out blue material from any of them. So enough about that.
I am more concerned with the Iraqi situation, the elections in 2008 and what is being done for some of my compadres that cannot afford to get their prescriptions filled and buy food on the same social Security check.
There are so many needs not being looked into right here on home turf, that it is sickening. We have children that can’t read in almost every state of the union and Oprah builds and opens a $40 Million Dollar school in Africa. I think that’s great and have nothing against that except her remark about asking children in the U.S. what they wanted and they said something like Nientendo and skate boards.
Perhaps that is true, but that is not the childrens fault, blame the advertisers and manufacturers of these items.
Obviously, a lot of us have gone soft in the head. We turn our backs on American made products, putting our brothers and sisters out of work and turn around and charge the cost of a foreign made product to our credit cards. All of this while statistically, a lot of them are living from pay check to pay check.
I quit for today. More later.

Hi Robert Although I don't necessarily agree with you on Seinfeld your point on American school kids not been anywhere near patriotic enough is a valid point. I would say Seinfeld and Frasier are among some of the better series, but never mind.... :-) Happy New Year, Robert. :-)
