The short hair style can make your life much easier. The shorter your hair, the less time it takes to dry and style. Plus, there is the coolness factor-especially in these hot summer months.

If you have never had short hair, getting the short haircut can be a drastic change. I remember when I was in middle school and I chopped off my long hair into a short layered style. I was absolutely devastated–even though everyone told me it looked great.

Not everyone is suited for a short haircut. If you are tall and thin, the short haircut may not work for you. It will just accentuate your height and thinness. Of course there are many tall supermodels that have short haircuts and they look fantastic! Keep in mind that these women have hair stylists that do there hair everyday AND they are wearing very fashionable clothes.

Before you venture to your favorite salon to get that short haircut, you should check out all the latest short styles, and maybe do a little self-evaluation to determine your face shape and the styling techniques required to make the style look good.

When you come out of the salon with a fabulous looking hair style–you feel great. After you wash your hair the first time and can’t even come close to getting your hair to look great, well, that’s not so great.
