No matter if you already have a small bathroom and are looking to redecorate, or you are just building a new home and have found out that one of the bathrooms is going to be smaller than originally planned; you will have to deal with small bathroom vanities. There are some things that are the key when it comes to bathroom vanity placement, or replacing an original unit with a newer one.
With so many options available to the homebuilder or do-it-yourselfer, it can be a tad overwhelming when you see how many different types you can choose from. One thing to know ahead of time is how big the new vanity will need to be. You can find this out by measuring your old unit, or taking it out and measuring where you will want the new one to go in your bathroom if you are changing the placement. You will need to know the height, length, width, and depth of the area where your new vanity will be installed.
Once you have your measurements, it’s time to go shopping at your local home supply store. You can find standard vanities that will come with a sink built-in or you can find some that have the sink sitting on top of the vanity, plain pedestal models, or models that have the sink, medicine cabinet and lights all built into one unit. As long as they fit your style and size-range, you can enhance the way it looks as soon as it’s in place. Do this by adding a large mirror, or cabinet with a mirror over the top and make sure that you have enough lighting to see by when using the vanity. Or add coordinating accessories to add to the look of your new vanity. For more bathroom vanity ideas check out www.LuxuryBathroomVanities.com.
