That's life. You can have as many rah-rah sessions as you like and walk out into the field feeling like you can move mountains, but at the end of the day, you're subject to the whims of others. I do believe in staying positive...but you also have to be realistic. Like the saying goes, you cannot get blood out of a turnip. It's just not going to happen. And it does not help that too businesses are being run poorly and have no concept of how to truly advertise their business. Once again, left to the whims of others. You can believe it all you want, but if the businesses you are trying to sell advertising just do not want to advertise with your publication, radio station or internet site OR do not have the money to advertise, then you’re not going to succeed.
