The Cold Season – Prevention and Cures – Part 1
As we enter the Cold and Flu Season many will go to battle with germs. Those who are most likely to be sick through out the winter months are those who are around a lot of people, such as college students, or those around small children. For those who want to be prepared to battle germs during this coming cold season allow me to give some helpful tips.
The most effective way to prevent a cold during the winter season is to limit your contact with other humans. For many that is not possible so other measures must be taken.
The second most effective way to prevent and treat colds is by staying healthy and keeping your immune system strong. Many like to treat colds by taking Vitamin C. I would also recommend eating a diet high in nutrients and limiting immune weakening activity if possible. Some activities that can weaken your body are ones that cause you chills when out in the cold weather, such as, wet hair or perspiration. I like to get a little assistance from an herb called Echinacea. If you haven’t heard of Echinacea check back for Part 2 where I will give some helpful information.
