The Bible Society organization in Australia recently announced that they will spread the Holy Bible vis SMS.
They thought that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to send the Bible through text messaging system so their religious users can receive all the 31.173 verses.
Those who are familiar with the original version of the Bible might be surprised of the new SMS version, because it has been written in SMS slang…

All the translation took four weeks and was carried out by a single person.
The Bible Society considers that spreading the Bible via SMS is very convenient.
Since a text message costs approx. 20 cents and if all 30.000 messages are sent then the whole ‘SMS Bible’ costs around $6,000 though the same version is available on the Internet for free
