What does Bible prophecy tell us about Jesus Christ’s second advent? If we look into the inspired writings of the apostles and prophets in the Scriptures, we find many prophecies regarding the return of Christ to this planet.
The Apostle John describes it in this manner: “ The sky receded like a scroll rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the Kings of the earth, the princes, the t generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, ‘ Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!”( Revelation 6: 14-16). This is the scene described in the book of revelation.
Today, many people think that this event will not happen. They will say, ‘ Where is this coming He promised? Ever since our father died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation? “However, even this attitude of unbelief is prophesied in the Bible: “ You must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following in their own evil desires… ( 2 Peter 3:3,4). The question most people are asking is when? How much time remains until Christ’s return? When Jesus was here on earth, He says, “ No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” ( Matthew 24: 36,42).
No one knows the day or the hour but Jesus Christ presents many signs that will happen before His second coming in Matthew 24:
The description given above seems like the current headlines we read in newspapers in our day than a prophecy. God revealed all this to us so that we will not be taken by surprise when the glorious day of His coming will finally happen.
