Do you feel stuck in your ministry career?

Perhaps you are where I have been, thinking “career change thoughts” because of financial pressures or people pressures, thus wondering if you should leave your present ministry assignment.

What can you do to reclaim a passion for ministry?

Exploring Career Options For Pastors That Will Expand Their Ministry Career Beyond Imagination

I first read Rick Warren’s book The Purpose Driven Church when I was trying to survive financially as a parish pastor in Bellingham, WA.

One of the factors about The Purpose Driven Church that grabbed my attention was the fact that this life changing, ministry challenging book was dedicated by Pastor Warren to mission church pastors. And, as a discouraged pastor facing pastor burnout, that was a great encouragement to one thinking about leaving the ministry.

Warren’s second book, The Purpose Driven Life, was written at a time when I was seeking new direction for my ministry career. Perhaps you too are struggling with the direction of your career and are ready to make a Change Career With Purpose decision.

The Purpose Driven Theme Changed The Direction Of My Life

Reading both of those books with the purpose driven theme changed the direction of my life because it changed the direction of my career.

My research on the purpose driven life has culminated in my website, with it’s focus on “Careers With Purpose”, especially the “Change Career With Purpose” theme.

I also intend on pursuing what I perceive as my God-given purpose, which stated simply, to enable people to be all they can be, through the grace of God.

I plan on fulfilling my purpose in a number of ways, the first of which is writing with purpose.

My Purpose Driven Life Article Project

First is by writing, such as in what I am doing now in authoring this purpose driven life article you are now reading.

One of the benefits of the internet is that writing articles is in high demand right now as people seek out content for their web sites. What a great way to expand ministry, writing articles just as I am doing now.

To be honest, I had never considered myself to have any creative writing skills. But as I approach my 60th year of life, I find myself constantly writing and I have even been told by a few that they like my creative writing style. Thank you, family.

My Purpose Driven Life Book Project

I even have in mind to write my first book. I have discovered that there are many people in my life who have writing aspirations but do not know how to start their book writing endeavor. There are many ebook self publishing guides that are available, some of them quite useful.

What I have enjoyed most about the entire self publishing approach is to learn that self publishing ones writings is the most effective approach for us common folk.

I have discovered some solid ebook authoring instructions aimed at those of us interested in ebook self publishing.

These ebook publishing guides aim at teaching aspiring authors how to profit from their book writing efforts by introducing self publishing tips, as well as introducing the concepts such as publishing on demand.

So, as I reflect on how God has expanded my ministry beyond anything I could have imagined since first reading The Purpose Driven Church as a discouraged, defeated, burned out pastor, I am eager to explore new ways to expand my writing ministry.

May you too, discover new expressions of your ministry career by writing with purpose.
