Use E-Books as Marketing Tools

Built by francisco on Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

One of the fastest selling products on the internet is e-books but most people are afraid to try. With just a few hints and tips on how this is done you could already be staring your own as soon as you have finished reading this brief report. Some people use other writers to help with the content until they feel happy they can do this on their own.

The first thing to do research the topic for your e-book and write some articles and although this can be any subject, it is easier to write about something you are interested in that people are willing to buy the information you have. Single articles are an easy place to start and they can also be sued to market your book before you have even completed it. The articles can then be distributed to the popular article directories which will provide a good indication how successful the book could be by the number of people that read your work.

While you’re writing the articles you will need to develop your e-Book’s overall structure. If you are worried about the structure you should not go wrong of you follow the normal introduction section, body content and then a conclusion to the subject which might also have a helpful resources area as well. To help increase the number of sales it is often worth adding extra material.

Normally authors will write an article and then insert it into their e-book as this gives them an idea of how it will look when it is completed. There is less room for error with e-books and no room for unnecessary information to clutter them so don’t make it longer than about 50 to 60 pages. The reason for this is books on screen are not as easy to ready so no-one wants to read information that is not directly related to the subject.

Most e-books provide bonus material so if you can find some include this as it will be welcomed. Your bonus material could include a small report (just write two or three additional articles), checklists, or add templates. Any extra material you supply will need to be worthwhile on its own and be related to your e-book subject.
