There are so many different types of diets available today. Each diet has the potential of working for some people. Take for example the watermelon diet.



Watermelon Diet

Watermelon is highly nutritious and is one of the few fruits packed full of lycopene, a red pigment that occurs naturally in certain plants. Lycopene is thought to act as a powerful antioxidant. It has also been shown that keeping a watermelon at room temperature will in the end deliver more nutrients than if it is kept in the refrigerator.

There has been research that a diet high in fruits and vegetables can help reduce the risk of heart disease. Another great benefit is that watermelon is fat free, and has a high water content!

Watermelon is a food highly recommended for weight loss. About 1 cup of watermelon is 46 calories.

So if you decide to do the watermelon diet, you can eat lots of watermelon and drink plenty of water. It is almost an assured approach to losing weight.

The trick is to not get sick of watermelon and end up stopping the diet shortly after you begin.

    You're supposed to-from what I have read; eat watermelon for breakfast and a cup 30 mins before lunch to make you eat less.Then the same with dinner-eat a cup and wait about 30 mins. And if you want dessert, eat a cup of watermelon. I'm planning on trying it this week.I'm vegan and its really hot here,so this sounds like heaven :3

    Can a diabetic safely go on the watermelon diet? Would the natural sugar effect their blood sugar to go off the charts?

    Sugar in fruits are natural and are digested well by the body. Dont listen to idiots who tell u sugar in fruit is bad for you so that you buy their useless products. I used to weight a total of 209 pounds. I went down to 187 just eating only fruits in a month and now mon a water melon diet today is my 4th day,I have lost a total of 7.5 pounds! Fruit is good for you especially the negative calorie fruits(google it and there is a list for them), but still everything has to be eaten in mo0deration right? Cos you can have like 4 huge whole water melons in a day or 10 bananas in a day.Hope this helps.
