Wedding Hair Styles

Wedding season is here. If you are getting married soon, you may be looking for just the perfect wedding hair style. There are many options for wedding hair.

1. The Updo. You can wear your hair in a tight, neat chignon, or a loose, messed-up updo. The messy updo is very popular today, and can require more time to create than the neat, sophisticated updo. Both types of updos will work great with a beautiful tiara or jeweled headpiece, combined with long sparkly earrings.

2. The Partial Updo. With this wedding hair style, only a portion of the hair in the crown area is pulled back. The rest of the hair is left down. For added height with this style, you can take sections of hair in the crown area and back-comb them, then smooth the top over with your fingers as you pull it back. Another option is to add a form and pin the hair over the form for height.

3. The Long Hair Look. There are all different types of hair styles that you can wear for your wedding that are long. You can add soft curls all over using a curling iron or hot rollers, then create either a partial updo or messy updo that is all curly. Or another option is to flat iron your hair so that it is stick straight and add decorative flowers, headpieces or tiaras to dress it up. Sometimes if your wedding dress has a lot of details on it–i.e. design, sequin, etc., you may look better if your hair is less elaborate. This way, the attention is drawn to your dress.
