As we get older, our metabolism slows down naturally. There isn’t much that you can do about it. If you continue eating normal, without adding any exercise, you will gain weight.

I have heard so many times from people that are on a diet or weight loss program that they eat much less and exercise and still cannot lose any weight.

So, what’s up with that?



The key to weight loss success is to start a program that is right for you. There are many different factors that can keep you from losing weight.

-Maybe you are not eating the right foods to boost your metabolism

-Maybe the exercise you are doing isn’t enough or not specific enough

-Maybe you need to start lifting weights to boost your metabolism

Whatever you personal situation is, you need to evaluate the effectiveness of any plan you are on. Most people will expect to see a change after a few weeks on a specific plan. If it seems like you aren’t budging the scales, you need to evaluate what you are doing.

I know for a fact that adding any sort of weight training to your exercise program will help to boost your metabolism-which can result in weight loss. When you weight train, you are building muscle. Muscles burn way more calories and can really help in your weight loss goals.
