Despite other benefits of credit cards, you still wonder why 0 APR credit card? Is this even possible? APR is annual percentage rate. There are times when 0 APR credit card promotions happen. Credit card companies go for this type of scheme just to entice the consumers.



This might sound too good to be true and you might wonder how companies can do this. It is true, but only for a limited period. Normally, 0 APR lasts only for 6 months and the countdown starts from the day the credit card is claimed.

0% APR is especially attractive to people who are looking at making a balance transfer. They are typically planning to consolidate all of their debts into a single payment. They are basically going after the lower interest rates because they have a large debt amount.

This is where things like 0% APR credit card come in very useful. This simply means that people who can pay off their standing debts within the 6 month period, will be able the save a lot.

While this can be put to good use if you have a specific situation, this is not beneficial to others. As they say, there is always an exception to the rule. This refers to those who do not accumulate interest charges simply because they have outstanding balance. Therefore, they would not feel the necessity of getting a 0% APR credit card.

For such people, the best credit cards are those that offer rewards and cash backs instead of lower rates.

So, be careful when going after promotional offers, as not all may apply to you. 0 APR credit card is beneficial only to some people.
