Why not just have a no carb diet?

The body needs insulin to process carbs. I’ve always thought that if you had diabetes, the one way to control it without having to take insulin shots would be to have a no carb diet.
Would this be a good thing or a bad thing?
Carbohydrates, in the end, have the greatest effect on blood glucose levels. So, what if you totally eliminated carbs from your diet.
As it turns out, our body actually needs carbs for energy and important nutrients. If we don’t get the proper nutrition on a daily basis, then we will be asking for trouble in other areas.
Carbs found in vegetables, fruits, whole grains and dairy foods are very important for a healthy diet.
