Dogs are wonderful – they’ve been called “man’s best friend”, for a very good reason.
Always Happy
When you’re back from a hard day’s study lessons, Turbo is always happy. He has grown [he's a mixture between a labrador/rottweiler and a Dalmatian], but is always very considerate with our three kids, and thoroughly enjoys all the attention he gets.
Traffic
In the beginning, being in a car was not something he was all that keen about. Now, he’s always jumping with joy when he sees the backdoor of the Volvo stationcar open…. He knows something interesting and new happens each time he does get into a car.
Walking
The best part of having a dog is certainly all the exercise involved, because he does enjoy good long walks. In the beginning he does drag the leash, but isn’t all that energetic after an hour. Lovely, and indeed fun when he still lies down to sleep afterwards in exactly the same way. His box is long gone and he has taken over the fireplace with a carpet that truly says: “I like this heat”….
Nostalgia
All this nostalgia came about because I was cleaning up my hard drive of old photos, and I just couldn’t help this sudden urge in wanting to share some positive thoughts on dogs – my Turbo in particular, but also dogs in general.
