Blogs are all the rage these days. In case you don’t know yet, ‘blog’ is short for ‘web log’, a kind of on-line diary. And blogs are as varied as are the people and organizations that create and maintain them. There are numerous Christian-oriented blogs. The World Magazine Blog is a blog from the popular World Magazine. It covers current news items, including some you might not see on TV or in your local paper. Providing a view of these subjects from a Christian point of view, the articles frequently ask questions as to how a Christian should act or view the topics. One of the nice things about this blog is that you have the ability to contribute your thoughts to the discussion. The comments can range from simple “Yes” or “No” to thoughtful short essays on all sides of the question at issue. The blog is one of the fastest-loading blogs I know of, which is nice for those of us still on dial-up. The blog features pages such as “Zeitgeist” (more comments on our world), “Blog Watch” (featuring a look at other blogs), “Ex Libris” (book reviews), “Cinema Verite” (movie reviews), “2bhuman” (a look at the human condition, especially medical issues), “Pensees” (an audio interview program hosted by Keith Plummer), and two more to come shortly, “Sub Cultured” and “Copy Desk.” There are also links to a number of other blogs, conveniently grouped by topic. Great stuff and World Magazine Blog is on my daily blog checklist. Put it on yours, too. You can contact World Magazine Blog at worldblog@gmail.com.
